Designation: Final vote shows Skownan is moving forward
 Today
is a very special and prosperous feeling day for members of the Skownan
First Nation. Yesterday the members of the First Nation showed their
overwhelming support for community economic development by voting ‘yes”
during this second referendum vote for reserve land designation.

Financial
Management will enhance operations
On May 9th, 2012, the staff presented their budgets and workplans to
the Council. To assist the staff with their reports, a template was
designed this year for each department. The new policies that have been
passed and being implemented support the need for budget control and
financial management.

Referendum
for bright future just days away
The second referendum vote is only days away. If you have not sent in
your mail in ballot, please send it out no later than today (May 14,
2012) so we will receive it by ‘Vote Day’ Thursday, May
17th, 2012. Remember if you are traveling into the community to vote,
the doors open at 9:00am and close at 8:00pm at the Administration Office.

on the newly created Skownan Housing Corporation. Please bring in your
